Associations & Affliations

EPIC Divers & Marine is active in various industry associations. These affiliations help keep us updated on industry news and trends.

American Society of Quality Control (ASQ): This is a society of individuals and organizational members dedicated to the ongoing, development, advancement and promotion of quality concepts, principles and techniques. EPIC Divers & Marine is active in ASQ, which keeps us abreast of new ideas on improving quality programs.

Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI): The ADCI is a non-profit organization, which promotes the education of commercial diving, establishes safe standards for commercial divers, and encourages industry wide observance of these standards. EPIC Divers & Marine personnel serve on the board of directors of this organization, the Gulf Coast Chapter and the Safety Medical and Education Committee and as president.

Gulf Coast Safety and Training Group: EPIC is involved in local and state groups pertaining to safety. These groups give us insight on industry concerns and standards and assist us in implementing new processes in EPIC’s safety programs. Recently, EPIC’s Safety Manager served as V.P. and President of this organization.

Harvey Canal Industrial Association (HCIA): The Harvey Canal Industrial Association is dedicated to a collaborative effort of the business community to support, improve and protect the interests of its membership and the Harvey Canal Industrial Corridor.

Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI): LABI's mission is to foster a climate for economic growth by championing the principles of the free enterprise system and by representing the general interests of the business community through active involvement in the political, legislative, judicial and regulatory processes.

Louisiana Independent Oil and Gas Association (LIOGA): LIOGA represents the independent sector of the oil and gas industry in Louisiana. They lobby our state and federal officials by fighting anti-industry laws of the state and help the common business owner be " a part of the decisions." EPIC Divers & Marine is an associate member.

Metropolitan Safety Council New Orleans, LA: an organization that gives citizens an opportunity to participate in all aspects of safety and health within the community and the workplace.

National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA): NOIA's mission is to secure reliable access to the nation's valuable offshore hydrocarbon resources in order that they may be developed, produced and supplied in an environmentally responsible manner.

Offshore Marine Service Association (OMSA): Trade association with interest in the safety and well-being of the marine industry and its personnel. EPIC Divers & Marine participates in various meetings to improve safety in the marine industry.

Petroleum Education Council (PEC): The PEC is an organization, which has created a basic safety-training course that is accepted by over 35 operators in 20 states, and complies with OSHA and MMS orientation requirements. EPIC’s safety manager is an approved PEC instructor and trains our offshore personnel with PEC’s program. All employees receive a certificate and a PEC card upon completion of PEC training.

Southern Gas Association (SGA): The mission of SGA is to link people, ideas and information in providing services and support activities that improve individual and corporate performance in the transmission, distributrbution and marketing of natural gas service to all customers served by member companies.

Women’s Business Council Gulf Coast (WBCGC): The Women’s Business Council is a non-profit organization working together with industry to develop Women Business Enterprises (WBE), in and around Louisiana. The council is a provider of certifications for women business enterprises seeking certification to participate in corporate WBE programs. Ms. Rodriguez has served on the Board as the New Orleans Regional Director and the Director of Supplier Diversity, working to partner women owned businesses with Louisiana corporate partners.

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC): The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is the collaboration among corporations, women-business enterprises and women-business organizations throughout the country. WBENC has approved WBE’s certification process to be nationally recognized. Ms. Rodriguez has served on the Board in the Women’s Input Committee.

Women's Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA): The WBEA focuses its efforts on building strong member services, securing funding for exciting and beneficial programs, and building a strong voice and support for WBE issues and challenges. The WBEA's mission is to increase business opportunities for women-owned businesses and provide qualified suppliers to buyers.

Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP): WIPP is a national bi-partisan public policy organization that advocates for and on behalf of women in business, strengthening their sphere of influence in the legislative process of our nation, creating economic opportunities and building bridges and alliances to other small business organizations. Through WIPP, our collective voice makes a powerful impact on Capitol Hill and with the Administration.
