Community Involvement

American Heart Association Heart Walk: EPIC Divers & Marine contributes funds to the annual run/walk campaign for the American Heart Association, to increase their efforts in educating Americans regarding coronary disease. EPIC employees participate and donate to this worthwhile event.

Archbishop Shaw High School: Local Catholic high school in which EPIC Divers & Marine supports fundraising to improve the future of education to young men from the surrounding area.

Blood Center's Blood Donor Program: EPIC Divers & Marine supports local blood banks and its employees by initiating semi-annual blood drives.

Boy Scouts of America: EPIC Divers & Marine, CEO, Julie R. Rodriguez, took part in the Learning for Life Program for New Orleans area schools. This program is a mentoring program, which enables students to build self-esteem and self-confidence and also helps them develop a sense of personal and social responsibility.

Chamber of Commerce New Orleans & River Region: EPIC Divers & Marine supports this program for the betterment of our community.

Children’s Hospital: EPIC Divers & Marine has supported Children’s Hospital, contributing funds in their fight against terminal illnesses in children.

Jefferson Parish Recreational Department: EPIC Divers & Marine donates funds and employees time to JPRD. EPIC has a strong sense of community and families, and its employees believe we should give back to the youth of our community through several programs.

Junior Achievement: The Business Hall of Fame was started locally in 1984 to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the Greater New Orleans area entrepreneurs. Since that time, only ninety-one individuals have been honored. In May of 2003, EPIC Divers & Marine’s CEO/Owner Julie Rodriguez was one of five honorees selected for induction to the Junior Achievement 2003 Business Hall of Fame. The Business Hall of Fame, Junior Achievement Award is a very prestigious award and one that Julie and EPIC Divers & Marine will treasure along with the Junior Achievement Program and Exchange City.

LSU School of Entrepreneurship: EPIC Divers & Marine, CEO, Julie R. Rodriguez, worked in partnership with this program speaking at Louisiana State University’s entrepreneurial college, in Baton Rouge. The college invites speakers to address their classes regarding achievement of their goals.

Mothers Day Out Program: EPIC Divers & Marine supported this program by contributing funds to help shut-ins enjoy Mothers Day meals and festivities.

Restoration Beautification West: EPIC Divers & Marine supports community efforts to beautify the West Bank. Employees have been involved in various clean up beautification efforts.

Rich Mauti Cancer Fund: EPIC Divers & Marine had contributed annually to this fund and supports its endeavors in the fight against cancer.

Second Harvestors Group: Annually raises food and goods for Thanksgiving Drive.

United Way: EPIC Divers & Marine contributes their corporate fair share and is proud to state that its employees continually exceeded their goals each year.

UNO Entrepreneur in Residence Program: EPIC Divers & Marine, CEO, Julie R. Rodriguez took part in the UNO Entrepreneur in Residence program which helps college students learn exactly what it takes to become a business owner.
